From November 2025 to January 2026, complementary adaptation measures are being implemented in Lakhsh district of Tajikistan under the project “Reducing vulnerabilities of populations in Central Asia from glacier lake outburst floods in a changing climate” (GLOFCA), implemented by UNESCO with the support of the Adaptation Fund.

New landslide monitoring equipment has been installed in the Pskem valley in Uzbekistan under the “Reducing vulnerabilities of populations in the Central Asia region from glacier lake outburst floods in a changing climate” (GLOFCA) project, implemented by UNESCO with support from the Adaptation Fund, by specialists of the SE “Institute of HYDROENGEO”.
