This document outlines best practices for managing GLOF hazards in Central Asia, integrating national standards with international approaches. It covers procedures for glacial lake assessment and risk management established in the four countries and combines them with international scientific state-of-the-art approaches. This document was developed with contributions from international and national experts.
A key project output is a Best Practice guidance document on GLOF risk assessment. It is now available as a summary leaflet in two languages (English and Russian).
