The meeting, organized by the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty under the GEF-UNDP-UNESCO Cryosphere Project, brought together government representatives, scientific institutions, and national experts to define priority measures for cryosphere monitoring, research, and climate adaptation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the process, GLOFCA contributed its expertise in disaster risk reduction, highlighting the role of Early Warning Systems and community preparedness in addressing glacier-related hazards. This input will help ensure that the SJAP and National Action Plans integrate practical measures for building resilience in mountain communities across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
